Like many people I have a soft spot for Ladybirds and the Orange variety, although common, is one of my favourites. This curious little capture is on a small knobbly bit on a Beech tree in Hyning Scout Wood near Carnforth. Are they feeding or is it a poor attempt at hibernation?
